I read a book about a hippopotamus. He was a friend of a volcano. Everyday the hippopotamus went to visit the fire. He was the volcanoe's only friend. The other animals were too afraid. So, the hippopotamus organized a big party. He invited all the animals to come and meet the fire. When the fire appeared he burnt down all of the forest. The animals had to run away. Finally, even the hippopotamus had to run into the lake so he wouldn't burn.

The Last Day Of School
It was the last day of school, elementary school. My friend, Élianne, Catherine, Amélie, Roxanne and I were wearing nice ball gowns for our graduation. The clock struck 8 a.m. which meant we had to go to the auditorium for the big show that we, the students, had prepared for our parents and teachers. My class decided to make a human pyramid. Amélie, Catherine, Valérie and I were at the bottom. First, I went to my place then Valérie and Élianne and Amélie. Then,someone climbed on Amélie's back, but he stomped on her dress and he ripped it! We could all see her underwear all the way to China! She was so embarrassed! Everyone was taking pictures, even the teachers. Amélie started crying. My other friends and I tried to console her, but it didn't work. Meanwhile, Élianne had a problem of her own. She was eating a burger and she found a worm in it. When she saw it she screamed and jumped on her chair and broke her glasses. Her new $500 glasses! Catherine and I tried to console her too. We told her that it didn't matter. Boy did that make her furious! She pushed Catherine off the satge and she fell on the teacher. Later, Catherine had to write a letter to the teacher to tell her she was sorry. Roxanne was so mad at Catherine that she decided to tell her biggest secret to everyone. "Catherine is a space alien", she said. She ripped off Catherine's mask and everyone freaked out. It was a special graduation party, but were all still friends.

Frank and the Bean Stalk
Once upon a time, there was a kid called Frank. One night he was eating beans while watering the tomatoes and he dropped a bean. He woke up the next morning and there was a giant beab stalk. "Holy cow!", he screamed. He decided to climb on it. He tried and tried, bit it was impossible. So, he had an idea. He told people that he would give them ten dollars if they could climb to the top of the bean stalk. Nobody could dot it. Then one day a man called Marco Polo came andtried to climb the bean stalk. He made it to the top!
When he got to the top he saw a giant plumber. He was the man who made it rain. He looked grumpy and sad. It turns out that it was "Mario's" father. He was trying to smack Marco Polo with his wrench. Marco jumped down the bean stalk and cut it down with his chain saw. "I guess some things are not for us"' he said.

An unplanned Landing
This story was sent to us by a boy from Bretagne, France.
Two kids from Bretagne and a girl named Angevine leave for the United States to meet their parents. After six hours the pilot announces, "Please attach your seatbelts! We are going to be flying through some turbulence." Maxime says, " We're too young to die. We have to get out of this airplane! Let's jump with the parachutes." "Yes, good idea", said the two girls. Discretely they leave their seats and they put on the parachutes. They jump out of the plane. They are carried by the wind. The three kids land in a field near a city. "Let's go ask the people here for some help", said Maxime. Soon they see some childre. They ask, "Where are we?""You're in Québec at Sept-Iles", the children say. "OH, we have to go to the United States to meet our parents in Boston!", stutters one of the girls. Bénédicte says, "I'll ask my Dad to help you. He's a helicopter pilot." Bénédicte's father agrees. The next day the three kids thank their new friends and fly off to Boston.

Once apon a time, there was a little girl who wanted to go to school, but her father didn't have the money to pay for the school tuition .The girl's name was Arianne and she didn't have any friends. One day she said to her dad "Dad I've got to go to the village to talk to a friend." Her dad said, "O.K. , but come home by 5 o'clock." So the little girl went to the village. She told herself, "OH my God , it's true ! Everybody goes to school and nobody's here." Disappointed , Arianne returned to her home and she never went back to the village.

The Lost City
Once upon a time, there was a man call Man-Hou. He was a guy who liked to risk his life to go on some dangerous journeys. And one day Man- Hou received a letter from a guy call Thomas. The letter said: "Dear mister Man-hou, my name is Thomas and I want to tell you that I have a new journey for you. Please go to Bresil and I will tell you later what you need to do". So Man-Hou went to Bresil with his wife Valerie. When they arrived in Bresil Thomas was aready there. Thomas said: "Man-Hou,what a pleasure to see you in person! Ok! Now I will tell you what your new journey will be. In 121 before J.-C. a men called Jin was a king who lived in a city in the middle of the forest of Amazone. 100 years later,the city disappeared after the death of the king. Some people said that this lost city turned invisible by some sort of spell or the spirit of the king destroyed it. Many treasures are still inside that city. 2 weeks ago some people said that in their dreams they saw the city. So I want you to go find this lost city. Please!!" "Ok,I accept",said Man-Hou. So Man-Hou and his wife prepared for the new journey.
Next morning,Man-Hou,his wife and some crew started to search a road to this lost city and suddently a tiger jumped on Man-Hou's back and Man-Hou took out his knife quickly and cut it, but the tiger wasn't hurt and it scratched Man-Hou's arm. Suddenly Valerie jumped on the tiger and used a gun to shoot the tiger in the head.The tiger died and Man-Hou was safe, but his arm was bleeding and Valerie put some bandages on it. Man-Hou said thank you to Valerie and kissed her.
